How it Started

Broken Chains Cycles is a motorcycle repair shop in Taylorsville, North Carolina, built on a lifelong passion for riding, honest service, and quality workmanship. I help riders keep their motorcycles safe, dependable, and ready for the road with motorcycle repair, maintenance, diagnostics, tire service, brake service, and personal attention on every job.

My love for motorcycles started when I was just a kid. My Nanny picked up a little Honda 50 at a yard sale, and my dad was the one who taught me how to ride it. I still remember him sitting me on the tank of a motorcycle and ripping up the old mountain road we lived on—I loved every second of it. Later, when I was a young teen, he bought a bike and took me on a ride. The thrill of going fast lit a spark in me that has never gone out.

My Uncle Howard, the biker of the family, also played a huge role in shaping my passion for motorcycles. Between my Nanny’s gift, my dad’s encouragement, and my uncle’s example, riding became more than just a hobby. It became a way of life. 

That lifelong passion is what led me to start Broken Chains Cycles. I wanted to create a place where riders could get honest motorcycle repair from someone who truly cares about the machine, the rider, and the road ahead. Whether you ride every day or just on weekends, I’m here to help keep your bike running strong and to give you a shop you can trust.

This past February, I moved to a larger, more convenient location so I could better serve my customers in Taylorsville and the surrounding area. The new space gives me more room to work, easier access for riders, and the ability to take care of more bikes while keeping the same personal service and attention to detail.
